You are obviously all more organised than me.
I'm not doing dinner anyway, that's the advantage of having adult children. ;

We always do small plates of prawns and smoked salmon with salad and rose marie sauce on the side. I put out a couple of plates of brown bread and butter.

I sometimes think of doing something different for change but never do as I only do this starter once a year anyway 😀

We always find the main course so much on Xmas day that we don’t have starters. I do a 3 course meal for New Year’s Day though.

Prawn cocktail to start, but this year I’m thinking of a charcuterie board as everyone likes that and we can eat as little or as much as each person wants.

We usually have beef as New Year’s Day main course, then a shop bought cheesecake or cake with cream as dessert

I do prawn cocktail now, I used to do homemade soup, but cant be fussed with that this year. I do small portions so everyone has room for the main meal. I have 6 for Christmas Day and 12 for Boxing Day, I do a full roast each day! And buffets in the evenings.

My MIL and SIL like very plain food, so I have to cater for their tastes. The buffet is a mix of all sorts, mainly M and S stuff.
