Princess Run Weekend - Help!
I've been meticulously planning our family trip to DP and thought I'd nailed it for May 7,8,9 we have an inset day on the 7th and its a UK bank holiday on the 8th so thought it would be a useful time to go as the kids don't miss school and we only have to take 1 day annual leave from work. I'd agreed to not book until today incase there were any silly Black Friday deals so I've logged in here to check and one of the first things I read is a thread not advocating going to DP on that weekend. Is it really that bad?! None of the booking sites mentioned the run taking place that weekend... Thanks Edited at 06:40 PM. |

I’ve done the run weekends in September (and am also booked for the May one it’s the first time in May in Paris) and yes it is busy. Normally Saturday is the busiest and Friday more manageable. However it’s also a bank holiday in France on the 8th I think.

I think it probably will be very busy that weekend. With the bank holiday combined with the run weekend and it's also Dapper Day on the Saturday.
I wouldn't let it put you off booking though, just go expecting it be absolutely manic and anything else will be a bonus |

Thanks
Oh God - I didn’t even know what Dapper Day was until I googled it. I’ve decided to just go for it. The Thursday should be ok even if the other two days are a write off! The other times we could go in School holidays are going to busy as well so there’s probably not much in it (hopefully). |

if you get the UK half term holiday towards the end of May, thats a great time of year to go to DLP as the UK is the only school on holiday at that time .
