Pre-pay fuel TPA to Disney

Having a hire car when we get to TPA and then dropping it off when we get to Disney. And the reverse on the way home.

From TPA we are also going to Treasure Island for 2 nights and 1 night on the way home.

Do you think i would be best off pre-paying for the full tank of fuel each time?

One side of me thinks its hassle free etc but then on the other side of things how much fuel would we use for TPA to Disney
We have a Ford Fusion or similar booked.

The pre pay option is a hassle free fairly good deal. But only if you take the car back nearly empty or even maybe with a quarter of a tank

Any less and it's not a good deal.

You mention dropping it off at Disney. If it's an Alamo car the Hess station is next to their depot. If it's another rental firm they are on Hotel Boulevard where another Hess is located.

However if you are doing other destinations during the 2 'airport runs' then it could be worthwhile. You will have to google the total mileage and see what shows.

Just did a rough calculation on google maps and its about 130 miles for the first trip so if i factor in another 70 miles just in case = 200 miles. I roughly work that out at about $20 in gas (roughly based on 25-30mpg which is a guess), think that sounds about right?

I think the pre-pay should be less than $40? If it is under $40 then i think its not worth the hassle of trying to find a gas station etc

For a 200 mile trip I would pre pay as I really cannot be bothered hunting out a gas station. Others will disagree but that's me.

Any less than 200 I would fill it up myself. However we stay on Disney property most of the time so I just fill up there hassle free if we are only doing a quick trip and not driving far.

DIBB Villa Reviews: 1
We flew into tampa in October and had Kia Soul opted for pay the the fuel and return empty. We used a quarter of a tank from Tampa to our villa in Davenport. Very economical car, just the 2 of us and we managed to get 5 new mattresses in the car in one trip. We always go for the pay for fuel options it’s too much hassle to top up on the way to the airport.
