We found it really easy to use and was a great example of the good stuff people like Tom and lots of others help with on this site. Really doesn't take that much time to set up and if you use the toll roads at all then is well worth that small investment in time.

Does anyone know if there are booths for collecting your Toll Pass on either side of the airport? The reason I ask is that we will be using the A side, as we are heading North to Charleston first this year.

Definitely one on the A side as I saw it in August and November

Yes there are. From the VTP FAQ’s
Where do I pick up and return a Visitor Toll Pass™?

You can pick up hangtags at the Visitor Toll Pass™ counter located on Level 1, Terminals A and B, at Orlando International Airport. At the end of your trip, please return your pass to the counter; it’s open seven days a week from 8 AM to 12 AM (Midnight) Eastern Standard Time. Or you can drop it off at a Visitor Toll Pass™ drop box located at:

• Pedestrian tunnels from rental car return parking garage to Terminals A and B
• Pedestrian walkways from rental car return parking garage to Terminals A and B

Even if you don’t intend to use the toll roads it isn’t a bad idea to sign up for it. It isn’t difficult for someone not used to driving over there to find themselves on a toll road and then have fees to pay. It might not be much but the scheme is free and takes up a minimal amount of time to pick up the pass. Nothing to lose.

We went looking for the VTP desk but saw a representative standing on the same floor where you go to the car garages.
He put our details into a hand held device, confirmed the card number for payment and handed us our pass and off we went. On return we walked from the car drop off, there was a bin at the entrance of the terminal to drop off the pass. Got the bill receipt via e mail a few days later which is how they said it would be done.

We used it in September. So easy. As others have said just showed passport and card that we had put on the system, given card to put in the car window and off we went.

We didn't hang the card up if we weren't driving on toll roads, as it shows we are a tourist.

On arrival back at MCO we handed it in and they told us roughly how much we were going to pay, but couldn't include the ride to the airport, as it updates every 24 hours.

Loved it

Melvin and Lesley
