Using gift card to pay for After Hours/Dessert Parties

We have the $300 Disney gift card for our trip in the new year. Once we pick it up in Disney Springs, does anyone know if it will be possible to use it to pay for one of the AH nights or a dessert party?

Yes I would think so although I’ve never tried it. We considered it for the Star Wars one last year but in the end decided against it. I would imagine the only issue would be availability at such short notice.

We're there for 10 days so would plan to pick up the gift card in the first day or two and use it for something on our last night -
hopefully availability wouldn't be too much of an issue

I imagine it depends on dates/time of year. We travel in September so less of an issue.

We're hoping to do this with fantasmic dessert party in May, I believe the only issue may be availability as you mentioned. It's such a shame you can't access the gift card in advance, seems a bit silly really as it's still being spent onsite.

Its basically a bribe to make you visit Disney Springs, and while you are there you can have a meal ($$$) and buy some stuff ($$$).

Aaah, makes sense, tho we can only spend the gift card once so if disney springs proves too tempting we won't do the dessert party!
