Return flight, food with VA
Was just wondering what food you get on your flight home with virgin? I've read about the meals out but not what you have on the way back!
Thank you! |

You'd get a hot meal like on the way there quite quickly after take off, then a tea/coffee/hot choc service. A couple of hours before landing you get "breakfast" which is usually a pastry with yoghurt. Nothing to write home about.

I was advised on our flight home in November that there is a hot breakfast roll for PE and Econ passengers now.
Maybe bacon etc? I could certainly smell something but we were in UC so I'm not 100% certain.

We’ve always found it best to eat at the airport in the way back, we always return on a late flight so try and head off to the land of nod as quickly as possible

We find the food on the return flight to be totally unacceptable.

Never enjoy the food on the return flight, we eat on the way back to the airport ( 5 guys near Celebration ) or a Macdonalds at the airport, also buy a sub from publix and put it in a cooler bag until the airport along with some crisps for the flight

Just back a few days ago. We had a hot meal a short while after take off. We had the option of pulled pork with mash and beans (it was ok, I tried it) A chicken curry with rice and spinach (I had this, I enjoyed it) and I think the veggie option was pasta, maybe pesto. That was served with the usual bread roll, cracker and cheese and a key lime dessert in a pot.
I then fell asleep. When I woke up the person next to me was eating a yoghurt from a breakfast box that I think also contained fruit in a cup? and I was just in time for a warm pain au chocolate and an orange juice. |

Last year we had chicken curry on the way back with the usual salad and dessert. Breakfast was a yummy almond croissant and some really hard melon. This year I went for the veggie option and had paneer curry but the rest was the same. Other than the fruit at breakfast I found it all really nice.
