We were in St Pete's beach earlier this week and noticed a lot of dead fish washed up on the shoreline. Not sure if this is due to red tide?

It hasn’t hit St Pete yet. Apparently the fish were just being washed up on the shore.
We arrive in AMI on Sunday. Hotel won’t refund me so have no option to go 😟 then we are staying at St Pete for our final 4 nights. Fingers crossed it stays away as we are staying directly on the beach! 🤞🏻

We are at St Pete’s at the moment staying at the Grand Plaza. Spent all day on the beach yesterday and it was absolutely fine. No dead fish or smell and lots of people in the sea.

How odd, we were at at the Grand Plaza mon-thurs and saw plenty of dead fish on the shoreline towards the tradewinds hotels. It certainly didn't smell though and we still went in the sea. Loved our stay on the beach at the Grand Plaza 💕

I walked along the beach on Tuesday and Wednesday morning both north and south from grand plaza and saw quite a few dead fish on the beach and in the sea, I have posted pictures in the other thread, as you say there was no smell though and the water colour never changed from Saturday to Wednesday during our stay at grand plaza. I overheard a boat captain say that the dead fish had drifted up from the south and there was no red tide yet.
