We also do 3,2,1 on Flour/butter/sugar, pulse together in the magimix, or beat butter and sugar together, add flour - and find it does not spread. (so for every 3oz flour, 2 of butter, 1 of sugar) If you add chocolate chips would reduce butter and sugar a little.
Mary Berry's recipe has way too much butter in it because of the semolina addition (would personally reduce the butter in hers by 1/3). |

Did you chill them for 30 mins after cutting them? They shouldn’t spread then
