Tampa Rays Baseball Game

I had an email from them with the chance of a refund which I have asked for... just too late for the kids now!

AAARGGH its turning into a nightmare this going to the baseball on the 29th

Having prior to my original booking made a contact with a box office employee at Tropicana field, i asked them to confirm that the game had been switched to 8.00pm and how I went about obtaining a refund (If we decided not to go or were unable to make the re-scheduled game) for the tickets booked via the Rays website

Americans being the most helpful race on the planet, she replied to advice me that they had contacted Ticketmaster for me and arranged for a full refund, including my pre-paid parking

We had not asked for the refund and were looking at the options available to us, even though we were more than likely still going to go

I checked on the ticketmaster (print ticket links) supplied with my original booking confirmation, and found that my order had indeed been cancelled, however it looks like I have incurred a $3.30 charge for the privellege

I have since contacted her again and she is now trying to resolve this for us, by offering to supply me the tickets for the best seats available similar to those previously booked direct to our property in the US, without the fees normally associated with the booking

Maybe it will work out ok in the long run

Finally went to this game last night (despite the last minute re-schedule) and an absolutely amazing experience, real American entertainment for all whether you follow and understand the game or not

Rays won 5-3, loads of free give aways, my kids both loved it all the dancing and fun activities between innings

My daughter got given one of the game balls, which she has not put down since, and we all celebrated wildly when the Rays won with the 10th strikeout of the night in the top of the 9th innings

This meant that everyone gets a free pizza from Pappa Johns on presentation of their ticket stub

Would recomend everyone if you have the slightest interest or want to do something different try to take in a game

Couple of things that may help

Arrive early plenty going on around the parking lots and stadium

Ignore the independant parking around the stadium (ones showing anything from $5 - $20) these are just locals trying to make a quick buck on other businesses property

There is plenty of parking in the genuine parking lots (1-8 I think) we were in 6 behind the stadium

Parking is free if there are 4 or more of you in the car

Lookout for the stadium roof illuminated Orange (from the outside) only when they Rays win, pretty amazing site

Soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the game
