Booking direct with Disney
Like a lot of Dibbers, I am looking at booking direct with Disney to bag the free DP (if it’s offered).
We are unsure of how long we are going for, but I need to book a hotel and tickets package. How little can I get away with booking for the 4 of us (2 adults, 2 children) to amend as we get closer to the date and our plans become more concrete? Ideally, I would book a standard room at Coronado, CBR or PO, for the 4 of us for 5/6 nights, plus 21 day tickets. What do I need to book to secure the booking. What can I add on later? |

You’d need 5 nights min to get the free QSDP if free dining comes available.
I’m not sure about amended your holiday to stay longer as I’ve only ever booked a min of 2 weeks at a time before.

You can book for just 1 person with a £50 deposit and then add other people on at a later date, when you'd then pay their £50pp deposits. Just make sure you book a room for 4 people initially, not a king room.

Yes, you book a room for 1 person, so just 1 park ticket. When you add the rest in, you'll add their park tickets on then.

Thank you! Final question, I promise... if QSDP does become available and I book it for 1 person, will I be able to add the rest of the party onto my booking with the free QSDP?
I’ve never booked a hotel direct with Disney before, only ever done a throwaway campsite booking. |

Yes you can. I booked CSR for myself with a £50 deposit, then added on 3 others. I also changed resort to AKL and we all now have DDP - with another £50 deposit per person. All subject to availability at the resort.

Yes, everyone staying in the room gets the same deal, so when you add them on with their tickets, they will automatically get the free qsdp. You don't have to book direct with Disney to qualify either. Other agents such as Orlando Attractions and Attraction Tickets Direct can do the same and are normally cheaper than booking direct. I've booked with both in the past without any problems. Only booked direct with Disney once which was our first trip in 2012.
