Virgin Vegan Meal
Hi all,
Can anyone tell me what the vegan option on VA flights is and if it’s any good? We fly on Thursday and have requested a vegan meal for my daughter. Is it any good or is she better stocking up a couple of vegan wraps from Pret before we fly? Thanks Graeme

While I haven't had it myself airplane food is not the greatest no matter what type of meal you have. It's probably ok but won't be tasty. Probably the best idea to get vegan wraps from pret at the Airport. Funny that you are flying out 1 day before us haha.

if you have any diet requirements either chosen or medical I would recommend taking something suitable with you that way you can be sure that you have something you can/will eat.
Even if they get it right there will be no choice just 1 set meal and if you don't like it there is usually no alternative esp for the more restrictive options We take food regardless as not a fan of plane food in general but I found the "allergy" options really poor on previous trips |

My granddaughter and partner are both vegan. They flew last September though but both said the vegan meal was good. This was with Virgin. Sorry don’t know exactly what it was

When we flew with Virgin 2 years ago the vegetarian and vegan main was the same just different sides.
The main was Spinach and falafel balls with a king of vegetable and potato tagine. The accompaniments were cheese based though so no idea what else id have got if I’d been vegan. I also got vegan afternoon tea which was a roast veg and humous wrap which was delicious (genuinely I would eat that for lunch any day!) crisps and a vegan chocolate.

I always pre book vegan meals and haven't had a bad one yet. For some reason they seem to be much better than the standard menu offering.

I flew to Orlando on 7th June with VA and had pre ordered a vegan meal, ive just had a look through this review and it's the same meal I had, the hot meal looked horrible but tasted nice. The snacks were all tasty, I'd be happy to eat thus again. The return journey thd hot meal awful i left it.
