Old Town is fab. We had caricatures done there which is always fun, and they did look realistic.
The lady who serves in the cafe is originally from Hull, I think she said that she`d been living there for 20 years, and has no intention of coming back to UK. (neither would I given the choice). |

We went and got some fish & chips at the new shop & got talking to the guy. We asked him if he knew how to make scraps and he laughed and said the 1st time a brit asked him for them he had no idea what they were! He said the owner is british and he showed him how to make them. We really enjoyed our fish & chio qith scraps and DSIL used to manage a fish & chip shop and said they were excellent!

Definitely go see the cars, but there is also some fantastic shops to look in and, one shop where you can get dressed up in old fashioned clothes like cowboys, saloon girls and gangsters and have your photo taken, a great experience for all the family to enjoy.

We always make a point to visit Old Town whilst over there... it just makes a nice cchange from the Discount Outlets, etc.
Only been there once for the Classic Car show but well worth a visit for anyone wanting something to do for a few hours. |
