60s & 70s Groovy Vibes at Epcot During Flower Power Concert
Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes, popular for their Grammy Award-nominated single “If You Don’t Know Me By Now,” and other hit makers will strike nostalgic notes during Epcot, Orlando, Florida, Flower Power concerts each weekend of the 16th annual Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, presented by Disneynature, at Walt Disney World Resort.
The spring shower of hit songs from the 1960s and '70s begins March 20-22 with opening-weekend performances by Davy Jones, known for a string of pop singles including “Daydream Believer,” and continues each Friday, Saturday and Sunday through May 31. Some of the other returning acts include Paul Revere & The Raiders, The Ventures, Jose Feliciano and Chubby Checker & The Wildcats.

We've seen Davy Jones and The Turtles; made a nice change for DH & I to be enjoying some live music while the DDs got bored for a change! (It was only half an hour so we didn't inconvenience them for too long...)

We saw Peter Noone last year. It was brilliant.
I was brought up listening to Herman's Hermit's and the like. It was even better because my Mum was with us. She said that if anyone had told her when she was younger that she would be sitting watching Peter Noone on a sunny evening in Disney with her Grandaughter she would have thought she would have more chance flying to the moon. It was one of the highlights of our holiday. |
