Anyone seen the Tampa Bay Rays?

Hiya all again.

Whilst in Florida THIS MONTH (Yiphee ) The Tampa Bay Rays have a home game against New York Yankees.

Anyone done this before?

We are thinking of buying the tickets that include a meal, if you have dont this, what is it like?

we did this last October for the Yankee's game. Got some really cheap tickets from Stubhub (I think) and got a great hotdog at the game Really enjoyed it even if they got battered in the game. The atmosphere was great and even though we had seats second row from the front but right at the top, we could see everything.

Only thing we would do differently if we went again (which we will) would be to allow more time for parking. It took us an hour from getting within a mile of the stadium to actually getting parked.

I've been to quite a few Major League games and I love the whole day out, however...

I can't believe they play in a dozy dome in that climate!

So be warned it's indoors and airconditioned. For me, sitting in the sun and having a beer and watching the game is what it's all about.

The locals hate the dome and want an outdoor stadium too.

This is why I haven't taken my family so far. I want their first experience of a game to be in the open air.

Us too! We're going on the Sunday

Last time we went, we went on a Sunday too. We got free hot dogs, drinks and a snack - popcorn I think - with our tickets, and the kids got a free baseball glove each on the way in, which have since been well used! We had a great time and I am not in the least bit sporty. Can't wait!

Got our tickets on Stubhub only because it was the Yankees and a sunday game but you can get them from there own website no problem.

We got ours direct from the Rays website. DH had signed up to be notified early when tickets became available as we thought it might be a popular one due to it being vs NY Yankees

we went last year and saw them play the seatle mariners, we got our tickets from the ray's website. my wife is not really that sporty but she loved it, so much we are going to go again next year.
