Something to do for the most miserable person in Orlando.

I'm in Orlando with my dh and ds at the moment too. Dh is also not keen on 'doing disney' or any of the parks much, he doesn't get it and on the one day we spent in the magic kingdom, he couldn't believe how busy it was and how so many people were 'brain washed' as he says, lol. Though we do come to orlando regularly and the things we have done are:
Wake boarding at Orlando water sports
Show case of citrus tour
Lake Louisa
Visited mount Dora
Kennedy space centre
Days at beach- Anna Maria and Cocoa we've done
Airboat rides
Hope you find something you both can enjoy

Can we arrange to leave our DHs in a room together so they can discuss how much they dislike disney while we run around Disney like kids?

Think we're gonna do the space centre on thurs and maybe do a beach day Monday or tues next week, thanks for recommendations!

Just caught up with this thread, sorry to hear that things aren't going to plan. You need to remember that it's your holiday too. When my DH gets all negative about doing stuff, I used to get upset, now I just say that I am doing whatever anyway, he can join me or stay behind and do something else, usually works out he comes with me and has a great time. You have spent a lot of money to be on holiday, you need to be able to enjoy some of it. It seems that you must be exhausted with trying to keep him happy all of the time, I hope you manage a few nice days at least. Hugs. X

Well it's 8am, I'm up and showered. Let's see how today goes with IOA. Kind of hoping for a bit of rain and cloud to make the heat more bearable for DH. Sorry to those of you who are in Florida also!

Fingers crossed you have a great day...I followed your pre trippie and and so gutted for you

Sorry, but I really think DH is behaving like a spoilt brat...He should at least make the best off it then vow never to return...and you defo need to go back and enjoy on your own

I definitely will be coming back I've already told him that, he said 'who with' and I said anyone, complete strangers if I have to!

Day has started off badly anyway, he's only just got up and already accused me of snapping at him when he asked what time it was (I said 8.30 and he said oh 8am and I said NO 8.30).

So exhausting

Im afraid I'd be leaving him behind today and doing my own thing.

Why are you spending YOUR holiday trying to keep him happy? What is he doing to make your holiday special for you?
