At this rate there will be plenty of half empty flights going across the atlantic this year. By the time they drop the prices most people will have cancelled their accommodation or booked somewhere else. Going to Florida is costing some people the best part of a years wages. It just ain’t worth it. Disney started the ball rolling with their constant price hiking and now the airlines have followed suit.
A quick calculation if we go very end of october is as followed. 8 adults 1 baby Flights £6400 direct economy Park tickets £5000 3 rooms 10 nights Disney £11000 no ddp available October. Parking 14 nights in resort £400 3 roooms universal 4 nights £2500 Spending money for food etc minimum £6000 12 seater van £700 Total £31000 Edited at 11:52 PM. |

I can see BA flights for circ- £450. I think that’s reasonable. I’ve always felt anything under £500 was an acceptable price. *i know this will be economy light with no bags. It’s possible to travel light. Or pay for 1 or 2 extra bags. Edited at 12:03 AM. |

Seems very expensive on a per person basis for room only accommodation. Personal choice if you feel it is worth that and of course totally upto you to spend that. We are a family of 8 so not far off your calculations and would never pay that for Florida though we go in July.

It was Skyscanner and BA. BA website seems to be down though as was going to check flight & hotel as it can be cheaper than flight on its own.

Yes your both right the villa would save us a fortune but we have become accustomed to being in the Disney and universal bubble. It’s easier for us as well being a large party with only me wanting to drive. If someone wants to leave or visit another park they just go there own way on the buses or trams etc. The dining plan was also a big loss this year.
Still I’m not giving up just yet. I’m hoping for a Freddie laker to join the party |
