Sha I agree in principle but my issue is the way it's being marketed, all well & good if you want a QS but that is also effectively lining Disney's pockets with more $$$$- Being pushed as the freedom to choose but every one of those QS (apart from Polite Pig) will make disney the best part of $30 better off. The DX is a bit of a better option as it's really based on 2.5 meals

Are you surprised? Of course it’s lining Disney’s pockets!

The Deluxe DDP gives you 3 TS credits a day. So if you choose to use one of those for a QS meal then you’re also lining Disney’s pockets with more $$$$.

Nimbus what I meant is that it's priced as 2.5 meals, at $119 that's what it equals in break down & yes it still would line Disney's pockets- I'm also a firm believer that that's what you also do every time you use 2 Ts for a Signature.I already know it's not for us not only do we prefer eating offsite but the thought of planning 42 ADRS on a 3 week holiday We have a weeks FD this year & tbh I can't think of anywhere where we are missing after choosing those 7 iYKWIM

Virgin are offering the new plan for 2021 UK bookings- think it's £13pppn to upgrade from DDP to DDP+, can definitely see a lot of people going for it at that price so can imagine ADRs will be harder to get next year

Has anyone found out yet if you can share the new DDPP with ‘Guests’ the same way you can with the Deluxe Plan. We normally share the Deluxe between two rooms and this may offer an alternative. 🤔🤔🤔

I'm pretty sure the rules are the same for all dining plans - you can spend your credits however you like.

So there's no ability to add it on to an existing booking still? (sorry havent read all the thread so apologise if its been covered recently). We are about 3 TS credits short with the DDP so this may have made sense to us.

We have used the DeluxeDP on our last two visits and each time Disney Moms Group have told us that we were NOT allowed to share with Guests (although we have with no problems)
I understand that someone posted here last year that in one of the Italian restaurants at Epcot they were not allowed to use their entitlement for their Guest even on the Deluxe Plan.
Has anyone used the normal DDP to purchase meals for Guests?

I think I would review expected meals and pay OOP for the cheaper meal on the existing reservations to cover the cost of the shortfall.
