Uber question

Hi, Ive downloaded the app as we will be needing to use a fair few Ubers this trip. Never done used it before and my question is about payment.

I know it need to be connected to a card or paypal but does it matter what card? If I just used my bank account will I get charged for using it?/or a currency conversion fee?
Does the same go for paypal, are there any extra charges?
Or the revolut card I just signed up to, could I use that?

Doesn't matter which card you use, but if it is a uk card, you will get transaction fees.

I've heard that uber can be a bit fussy with revolut, but have no experience of this myself.

I always link it to my credit card and have never had issues.

We have revolut tied to our Uber account and used this without any problems in New York this year. Haven't tried Florida yet but will be next year..

We used revolut 2 years ago in Florida with Uber and didn’t have any problems.

Used my Halifax Clarity card with Lyft this year. No problem and no foreign transaction charges.

ive always used paypal- no conversion charges but the exchange rate they use is a few cents lower than reg rate e.g if conversion is £1 - $1.20 then they will convert at £1 - $1.10 or similar - its not a massive difference tho

I use my Halifax Clarity credit card with Uber, and everywhere else outside the UK, as it doesn't incur foreign purchase fees.
