Good price or not?
I have been looking at August 2021 so far I’ve got 2 options for 1ad 2 ch (9&10) for 1 week.
1. TUI, 18th August, Gla-Sfb staying at Universal endless resort £2660. 2. Virgin holidays, 21st August, Gla-Mco staying at the same place £2777. I haven’t been at this time so I’m not sure of prices. |

I think if that price was for 2 weeks I would say it's not too bad, but for only 1 week I think that's extortionate! To put it into perspective I have booked with TUI for Sept 2021 for 2 adults flying from Doncaster (GLA is our local airport but it was over £1000 more to fly from there!) staying at Universal Endless Summer Dockside for 2 weeks inc transfers, extra luggage and extra legroom seats for just over £2000.

I think that’s pretty expensive for a week and even more so as the Scottish schools are back by then so effectively term time.

With fully inclusive car hire it wouldn’t be too bad but without I would agree it’s expensive especially for one week.

Have you tried a quote from Ever After Holidays and Charter Travel, both get good reviews on the Dibb.

Thanks for all replies👍.
I have contacted charter travel a few days ago and I’m waiting on a reply. I will give Ever After Holidays a try. 😊 |

It's not that bad. Endless resort for 1week 18/8/21 on travel republic is £584. So flights are just under £700 each, reasonable for direct summer flights back in the UK before September. 1 week holidays always seen less cost effective because the flight price is the same for 1 week or 2. I doubt you could shave much off the price unless you fly indirect.
Having said that I know nothing about Scottish pricing in relation to their school holidays, so my input is from an English holidays and airport viewpoint.

I don’t think it is a fabulous price but I certainly don’t think it is a bad price either. The hotel would be a maximum of £700 so less than £700 each for direct flights from Glasgow doesn’t seem too bad to me. I fly from London airports so not fully up to speed with Glasgow prices, but this does not seem too bad.
If I were booking one of those two, I would spend the extra £100 and book TUI not Virgin. Too much risk with Virgin for me. |

Probably about bang on.
Sub £700 direct EA is about target price for the summer. Anything under that would be a bargain. A little far out yet to price up the flights yourself accurately although even in peak time MCO indirect via JFK with Delta or EWR with United should shave some of that price off. But post covid , who knows. |

Have you thought about a 10 day trip if you haven't got the time we are fortunate enough to go twice a year, and the second trip is always a 10 nighter, the one for this year was only £50 each more,so we did it.(both sets of holidays are thru Tui.)
