Premium half board help please!
Hi everyone,
Returning to DLP in Feb for the first time in 10 years We're staying in the Disneyland Hotel for 4 nights, and have Premium Half Board included. I'm just wanting to check I've understood the meal plan correctly (never had it before!) I think we get 4 breakfasts (including one breakfast at Plaza Gardens?) and 4 'dinners' (although I'm assuming these could be used at lunchtimes?) Looking at Buffalo Bills, Cafe Mickey, Inventions and Auberge for the dinner vouchers - out of these have only been to Cafe Mickey and Buffalo Bills before. I guess my point is (sorry I'm babbling ) are there any other restaurants worth considering, and are either Inventions or Auberge open for dinner or would this be lunch? Thank you if you got to the end! |

Yes you can use your meal for lunch or dinner. ADC is open for dinner. Other restaurant to consider would be Walt’s. Never been there myself and there’s no character dining there, but it’s another option. Other restaurants do have Premium menus, eg Captain Jacks, but personally I would just rinse the character meals if I was on Premium and had kids with me.

For each night you stop you get 1x breakfast voucher, 1x premium voucher. I would heartily recommend booking before you go (I found that ringing up the SALES line let me book Inventions times not available on the reservation website, it also let me put Auberge and Plaza gardens before 60 days too). Plaza gardens (breakfast) and Inventions book up quickly. For 4 nights I would recommend booking the plaza gardens breakfast, Inventions for lunch or dinner, California Grill dinner, chez remy (they have a reasonable premium menu) and Auberge. If your heart is set on Buffalo Bills then probably drop either of Remy or California Grill. Note, Sunday "brunch" inventions is not included in the premium half board so you will need to pick a different day.
We really enjoyed dining this time - it was our first time we have had half board before and since it was premium we went for the premium options. Edited at 11:17 AM. |

The only meals that would not be included in your Premium lunch/dinner voucher would be Inventions brunch on a Sunday that would incur a top up or the Sparkling Experience (Dinner in California grill then fireworks viewing in the Castle Club lounge). You can go to Buffalo Bills (6.30 or 9.30 show) which is a fab evening, but food wise not the best.
Inventions and Walt's would be a must-do for me. Amazing food and Walt's has the most incredible story/history and interior if you are into Disney History at all? You can book online and if you want to get the UK online links - you can contact the Dream Team on the DLP website who can provide them for you. If you want to book Buffalo Bills, call the phone number on your email confirmation and they will add it to your package so your place is guaranteed.

Sorry to hijack the thread but we are goingi n April for the first time at DLP - we have the premium meal plan and was hoping to book Walts - is anyone able to give me some idea as to which menu we will be able to order from - can we order from the a la carte or would we have to pay extra and if so how much would our premium voucher be worth
