Joan and I were saying last night how dire TV was yesterday (and over most of Christmas). We'll find this on catch-up then set the box. Highlight of our week in Vegas was a day trip here.   via here  Mick

Hopefully shows people the South rim is not just a day trip from Vegas and needs a few days to do it justice.
You only get a 10th of the experience by doing either the West rim or a day trip to the South or North rims. If it's all you can do it's better than nothing, but if at all possible stay over at least one night to be able to properly experience it. |

Love this place, we was there last christmas and as we drove out to head to Sedona we stopped at the Little Colorado river gorge on the Navajo tribal land, I bought some jewellery from the man and his brother, he told us to go to the overlook and wow. I went back and spoke to him for ages. Very lovely people. When I came home I looked up on instagram and have signed a petition to say no to a dam going there, if you ever get the chance go, its the exit from Grand Canyon to Cameron. Oh I could go now. 😍

You can get helicopter rides from the airport at the south rim though. |
