Universal/Volcano Bay - Linking Tickets

We're off to Orlando in a few weeks time and have our WDW and 3 park Universal tickets. With MDE I've got the app on my phone, all the family under my account, and linked the tickets to each of them. All set. Just waiting for FP+ window to open.

However, I also have the Universal app on my phone, but I don't know whether I need to link tickets or how to do it. Are tickets linked in the same way as MDE? Do I link all tickets under my Universal account so I can control it all (like MDE)? or does everyone need their own account?

From what I've read I believe that you need to link tickets in order to use the Tapu Tapu in Volcano Bay, but it's not 100% clear, and how does Race Through New York work if you don't link tickets in some way?

Any/all info on linking Universal tickets to the app would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You don't link your tickets with universal.

We were there in May and used the app to book a return time for Jimmy Fallon and it just asked how many were in the party. It then gives you a barcode which the person scans on entry and lets that many people through

Can't help you with if volcano bay is any different as it wasn't open while we were there

You can link your tickets for universal app, which allows you to add a payment to use Tapu Tapu for purchasing at Volcano Bay. You can also allow children to do this and set spending limits.
I'd imagine longer term, the bands will be used in all Universal Parks.

To Link tickets go to the wallet icon on the bottom right in the Universal App.

I've just linked my universal tickets with the app, all 5 tickets are linked under my name, is that normal? Do I just control everyone entry? Also so the kids need photo ID when they go in? Thanks
