Universal Annual Pass
Hi, looking for advice on annual passes for universal from anyone who has experience of these... we are lucky enough to be going 2018 and 2019 and the AP does seem like a bargain when using over 2 years.
Does anyone know how this works? i.e. say 13th August 2018 is first day of use, does this mean the last day is 12th August 2019? Also.. are the tickets despatched to the UK or do you have to collect from Universal ? Plus any other advice is welcome

We did it for 2016/17. I ordered them online and collected at the ticket booth while over there. We actually got a year and a day out of them I think.

We updated our 14 day passes while there last November, for $9, they run out this year 1 year and a day after the first day of use. So we get 6 days this year for $9 each,

Yes, we pick up from universal. We also pay for them on flex pay (5% down, then 11 monthly payments of the rest)

You can just got to GS the. out there to buy them. if you are going more than once then defo get passes. Make sure to get one Preferred pass though as this way you get free parking and discounted meals ect. You do usually get 1 yr and one day. the experience date comes up each time you scan in to the park.
Please make sure you check out blackout dates though as these are growing slightly

Ok, thanks for your help... we’ve purchased the 2 Park tickets. There are 5 of us so have 1 preferred pass and 4 season passes for use in August, all adult.
The average cost of the tickets is £231, which is only £10 more than a 14 day pass, plus with the preferred pass we get free parking

Hi - just wondering why you have 1 preferred and 4 season passes? Edit - read the post above properly ...for the free self-park! . Also - are these annual passes only available from Universal directly or are there other recommended outlets. Nice idea ... I am going in 24March-7April which is ALL the blackout dates and wonder what the upgrade in park option will be - anyone know?...otherwise it would be 4 preferred passes which is about £400 more than the 14 days tickets alone. Easter is blockout as is some of Christmas and a lot of jan and feb now due to COHP and Mardi Gras. there is a whole monthlong blockout on VB during June also. I would weigh up that if the preferred passes come out as less than what you would have spent on tickets plus parking the do it but if it they are the same then you will have to really consider if it is worth it for you inc cost of merchandise, food and possible hotel discounts also. What is a good perk though is early entry with pref passes
