Bitten by the Disney Bug - Help me plan my next

Hi Dibbers

Firstly thank you all so much, just returned from my family's first ever WDW holiday and am so glad that I found this site before I booked as I learned so much from the guidebook and from you helpful lot on the forum.

So inevitably We really want to go back! Started saving already and hoping to go either 2019 or 2020.

Really enjoyed all the benefits of onsite with the dining plan so we'd like to do this again, only this time I'd like separate beds for the kids. There was a few bed swaps over the holiday and hubby and I came to the conclusion that neither he nor I get good sleep with either child in bed and they didn't sleep well in the same bed together - two very wriggly sleepers. Add to that that they are opposite sex and will be a couple of years older so won't be up for sharing a bed for any future trips.
With this in mind which Disney Resorts would you suggest?
So many seem to be set up with 2 x queen beds.

we are a family of 5 and stayed at CBR in May, they have many rooms that have two queen beds and a fold down short single (my 5ft daughter was fine in it), I believe PO also has some configured the same, may be worth requesting one of these if you book with either hotel.
We have been saving for our next WDW holiday hoping for 2019 but having assessed finances I may be making a booking for October 2018 whilst free dining is still on offer , the incentive being our estas are still valid and room prices appear to be going up around 10% every year.

WL and AKL have rooms with 1 queen and 2 bunks. Others do as well, but not sure exactly. It depends on your budget. AOA have family suits.

If you are on a budget it may also be worth considering a villa for the extra space

A one bed st Old Key West or Saratoga Springs might help. Loads of videos on you tube. Might be worth a look. Or, as someone said above I did see somewhere that had bunk beds. It might have been AKL or may be wilderness lodge.

we in the same boat as you OP, we stayed in CBR last time it has the fold down bed plus 2 queens, PO riverside has the same configuration thats it for moderates, you would need a family suite in a value resort all stars and AOA have these but if you book with free dinning then a moderate comes out cheaper than a family suite, deluxe you have more choice AKL and wilderness have bunk beds hope that helps.

Yeah the two bed thing has put me off for longer durations I must admit. As we’ve only been here for 3 days this time it’s not mattered and the on site benefits certainly make for a better experience.

I understand some of the POP Resorts may have affordable options for family space? Obviously you can pay silly prices for the Deluxe Disney villas but for me, at this point on site benefits are out weighed by value, and I would go for a close by off site villa.

God I thought that was

"Bitten by a Disney Dog" and thought - oh no here we go again...

CBRs good with the Murphys and its a beautiful resort. Free food and the cheapest ive found when booking.

We've grown out of it now and need a villa off site I think.
