Is 3 weeks at Disney too much?

We are fortunate to be able to go to Disney for 3 weeks next March, when pricing up park tickets I was shocked to see how much they had gone up, we were looking to do Disney and Universal this time as we only did Disney last year, but the price is coming in at over £3600 for the 5 of us , so we was thinking about getting the 21 day Disney park pass as this is only working over an extra £150 for the extra week. Has anyone ever done 3 weeks at Disney parks before and thought It was too much? With having a car also like to explore Clearwater, Daytona etc so wont be going to the parks everyday.

Nope!

Not counting pre-kid trips we did two weeks onsite (POFQ) with our kids the first time and then three weeks onsite (OKW) their second trip. Last time, their third trip we did two weeks onsite (POFQ) then a week at Universal (HRH).

Next trip it’s three nights at Cabana Bay but no parks tickets, just pool time then onto Disney (POFQ) for three weeks in the bubble again. Kids now 7&8 and we’re 39&42!

If we were to do 21 nights I probably would still only get a 14 day Disney ticket if wanting to do Universal too.

I always consider 'fly' days as waste of time going to a park so now you're down to 19 full days, you can do exploring/Universal for the first 5 days and remaining 14 at Disney (or other way round), this would allow you to go back to universal for the first 9 days of your Disney part if you wanted.

I think op is saying it’s too much money to buy universal and Disney so is thinking of just buying Disney tickets

3weeks of Disney alone would be way to much in my opinion, but if your going out with Disney world then go for it I say

We did just disney last time and had a 21 day ticket. We enjoyed it as it was so much more relaxed, comd and go as you please, 1/2a day here and there. So no just disney wouldn't bother me😊We didnt get a universal for the same reason as you far to expensive.

Never done 3 weeks at disney myself, I would imagine it would be a bit much especially as you only did only disney last year. maybe try and start your holiday with universal then start your 21 days after the non disney stuff. might help with mixing it up

We normally stay off site, 18 or 19 nights, with no kids, and get 21 day tickets - we like the freedom of being able to pick and choose if we go to a park or not. Chris's perspective is that's factored into the cost of the trip whether we go to a park or not, then IF we chose to go to a park, it's $11 each/day, ie the parking cost.

We don't bother with Universal, haven't since our first trip as neither of us were that keen.

We’re here at the moment for 3 weeks. We’ve got 21 day Disney tickets and also doing Madam Taussauds/Sealife centre/Eye plus Kennedy. We could justify the additional cost of universal.

We don’t do full days, just a couple of hours. For example yesterday we went to AK at 6pm, did our 3 FPs plus Navi as was a 20 minute wait, had some food and left just before 10pm. We find this works well for us - gives us much needed down time with a bit of Disney. This is our 7th visit so take things much slower.

We’ll also go to City Walk for a couple of evening meals.
