As a family we much prefer Disney. It’s our happy place. As adrenlan junkies we do like the rides at Universal but it doesn’t feel as relaxing as Disney & it’s not as well maintained. Some parts of Universal feel very shabby compared to Disney. Although the Harry Potter World is fabulous. We find 2 days at Universal is enough now & we spend the rest of our stay at Disney - where we can happily mooch around for days.

It's always been Universal for me and hubby. We have a 3 month old baby coming with us on this trip though so we may change our minds.

Disney for us, including our 2 teenage children (15 and 16). Neither are particularly bothered about Universal.

Universal studios was the first park we ever visited in 1993, so its special to me. We all loved Jaws, Back to the future - all the older rides, saw Beetlejuice with the ghostbusters. It was great. Obviously love IOA too.
This year my son will be 21 so we're skipping Disney.
Even booked HHN for the first time ever.

I love universal. But we could go to Florida and not go to universal if we wanted to save that bit of money. We couldn’t go and not do Disney.

Disney all the way for me, with occasional visits to Universal every other trip. I dislike the over reliance on screen based rides at Universal, I prefer real sets and animatronics. They do have some great rides though and HP is great. Apart from that, the atmosphere is lacking in my opinion. I feel only that I'm in a theme park, but at Disney I feel like I've completely left the real world behind. And the CMs make the experience so much better at Disney. At Universal the staff are just there to do their job, something's missing.

These are two different places, but, as I think, Disney is a little better and my childs love it, which is the most priority point for me.

Totally agree with this.
When we first went to universal a few years ago it was the year after we had been to Disney for the first time. We only did universal and I do remember really enjoying it. We were blown away with all the HP stuff.
We have since been to Disney only a few times since, and last year did both on a family trip with 4 nephews.
They all loved them both but frankly after the first day at universal we were a bit bored the other days. It’s just a theme park, but we feel like Disney is a whole escape. IMO they just don’t compare. And I have to say I completely agree about the difference in staff.
