We did the same cruise last August, obviously weather was different, was lovely and warm but I did a little trip report post for it (link below) I would just say to take some layers, and a raincoat, and decent comfortable footwear for when you are off the ship. Its a really amazing ship and we especially loved visiting Bar Harbor, and sailing out of NYC. Have a great time!

Ooh thanks, I can’t wait. DH loves a bookshop so will have to look for Sherman’s. We’re actually staying at the Intercontinental as well.how did you like it? We’re spending 3 days there after the cruise which will take in our 30th wedding anniversary.

We did the trip a couple of years ago with P&O & loved it. As said take layers, also take raincoats & an umbrella. It poured all day in Boston. Quebec was really hot, so it varies so much.

we're just back from the reverse cruise - Quebec to Port Liberty, from 13 to 27 September on Adventure of the Seas.
It was unseasonably warm while we were there, which was a lovely surprise, and we ended up not wearing a lot of the sweaters/hoodies we had brought.
We had only one day (Saint John) where it was a bit cooler and drizzly.
Think the secret is to pack lots of layers as you just can't tell.

Any questions just ask

Did the first week of Oct a few years back. We found the weather was mixed - Boston was shorts and t-shirts and by the time we were into Canada the weather was appreciably cooler and we needed jackets. We had torrential rain in Newport which meant the coastal walks were out as visibility was so poor but overall it was a fabulous cruise and we would love to do it again.

We love the Intercontinental! Its so comfortable and well placed. We were literally a few steps from the Frozen musical theatre and Times Square.

We also visited Shermans its was really cute. There is a fantastic lobster roll cafe in Bar Harbor we went to, called the Side Street cafe, well worth a visit.

I hope you have a fantastic time please come back and tell us!
