Junior Bake Off

My kids, 8&10, life GBBO and were overjoyed this was on this week to help them over missing them full show.

We have been really impressed how mature these children are and how they look after each other with words of support etc. Also how well they cope with the pressure.

I am really enjoying this! And I LOVE Harry Hill, he is just fantastic!
I wish he was on all the bake offs
I just can’t watch the last 2 mins, it’s too sad to watch a child be told they are out 😫

We're quite behind on this, so I haven't read the rest of the thread, yet, in case of spoilers!

Just want to say

I wish they didn't have eliminations on the junior version and let each group competition run over the whole week.

Especially with such a broad age range (9yr olds against 15s), I'd prefer to see 5 Star Bakers chosen over the week (obviously can only be Star once, then) and those 5 go through to the final week.

We’re only on episode 3 or 4 and I too think it’s too broad an age range. I felt so sad when the youngest lad dropped his 😥
I cannot believe how much they get done in 2 hours!
I’m not sure if Liam seems really awkward 🤔

Onto week 2.

Still think they should split it into a junior week and a teen week -- and still would prefer no eliminations to give the kids a better chance to relax and show their range of skills.

I think Liam's OK, but think Pru and Harry might be struggling to pitch it quite right. (Pru's being a bit mean, though she had started heading that way in the recent series of Bake Off.)

Really enjoyed it and agree better than this years GBBO. They all were amazing bakers but I’m really pleased with the winner

First time I have ever watched junior bake off, and only watched a few individual episodes of the adult ones, really loved it - totally blown away with the talent and the way they all helped each other out.
