Aer Lingus connection
Is 2 hours layover enough time at Dublin or would you do 6 hours instead?

We done it last Thursday going to New York with 1hr 15mins layover, it was a tight connection but it was do-able - we got into the pre-clearance immigration queue with 45 mins to spare and our flight called for last & final call as we got to the front of the line.
We found there were lots of people in the queue who weren't due to fly for a few hours who's flights hadn't been called to pre-clearance yet which caused a bigger queue than there should have been. If you're coming into Dublin on one of the Stobart planes then where you sit makes no difference as you're bussed to the terminal.

The facilities before pre-clearance are pretty good (not so good after unless you do 51st & Green) as there's stuff that could kill a few hours..you could book 51st & Green and go through pre-clearance 3 hours before to break it up and give a change of scenery.

It's their pre-clearance lounge, there's honestly not much once you pass the immigration kiosks - seating is limited, only a couple of small shops. This would give you some space and something to eat & drink while you wait.

If you are doing this route (on a single ticket, starting with a Stobart flight from Glasgow) when you get to Dublin to you collect your cases?

No. They show you a picture of them on the screen and you confirm they are yours!

AH, ok, ta. Is that still the case if your flight to Dublin is the night before?
