Missed our Discovery Cove Date today!

In 2017 we missed our date due to hurricane Irma and the staff at Discovery Cove were brilliant when we spoke to them over the phone. We got another day straight away.

We always arrive for around 7am it gives you time to get checked in and have breakfast before all the swimming areas open.

You'll love it though, it's always my favourite day of the holiday!

I went last Saturday and wore my contacts in the dolphin pool but I whipped them out as soon as I got out and wore my glasses.

I found the bottom of the dolphin pool quite rough and I wobbled a bit where the bottom gets deeper - ledges rather than a smooth slope and I nearly lost my footing a few times.

I loved it.

It depends how comfortable you are wearing contacts for a good bit of the day. If so I would probably go with those otherwise the mask with prescription works really well.

If you do decide to go with the prescription mask they are on a first come basis and you will probably be asked to put a credit or debit card on as a guarantee you will return it. They don’t charge your card unless you fail to return the mask.

You will have an absolutely fabulous time.

I had to cancel my day in September due to illness. I rang them and they were really good about it. Rather than rearranging for later in the trip they've let me re-arrange to when I go to Orlando next year, they said it could be any time within 2 years. So I've booked the Saturday of when I'm there next year.
