Dress Code at Disney restaurants

Hello!

I understand that the restaurants in the parks would expect people to be wearing 'park clothes' - tshirts, shorts, trainers.

However, we have a couple of meals booked at resorts (Narcoossee's and 'Ohana) and I was wondering about the dress code.

We're going to Narcoossee's the day we arrive and i'm anticipating swollen ankles from the plane, would beaded flipflops, a summer dress and cardigan be ok? Or would I be better off wearing ballet flats? Please not heels!

Is 'Ohana more casual?

They're going to be nice meals for us, as they're our first night and last night, so I'd like to make an effort but don't want to have to pack really smart clothes/shoes for one meal.

Thanks!

Yes flip flops will be fine. The dress code is listed when you click on the restaurant details on the Disney website but essentially they don't want swim wear, vests, short-shorts, that kind of thing.

All of th restaurants will have people in park wear as well as people who have made more of an effort.

We went to kimonos at the Swan straight from Magic Kingdom. I'd have been happier getting changed but there was no issue with our park outfits.

I would wear the same clothes in both restaurants.

Smart casual.

Thanks Sha9, Bev and Disney 332.

I wouldn't turn up in swimwear but it's good to know that smart casual is totally fine, especially as we'll be at Epcot before 'Ohana

I wouldn't do a TS restaurant on your first night. You'll be asleep in your dinner by 8pm

Holiday casual is fine - just no swim suits. One or two signature restaurant do have stricter codes such as Victoria & Albert's. You can check all dress codes by searching on the internet.

Yes - our 71 year old body clocks would be telling us that it's 1.00 am in the morning now. We'd be fast asleep.

First night's dinner for us is cooked chicken and salad from Publix.

Thanks for the tip GillH.
We'll be fine though. I've done Seattle quite a few times with work and we always go out for a proper dinner the night we arrive to stay up and get to bed around 11pm local time to beat the jet lag.
When we went to Washington DC last year it's a shorter flight but we ended up in the pub until 1am!
