Still a big challenge for the vast majority of 2.6m households to redo their fire protection. There aren’t enough fitters and there isn’t enough stock currently being made to meet the upsurge in demand.

Completely disagree. While I am glad that it would seem the deadline for this has been put back a year due to covid, there is no issue with getting 10 year battery alarms and fitting them. Its a 20 minute job at most and there is plenty of alarms around to do the job.

Scotland could not cause an upsurge in world world alarm shortages.

You won't be able to sell your house as it will be part of the home report and your insurance may be invalid depending on the company as you won't be compliant with the legal requirements.

I mentioned this as I spent yesterday trying to source what I need from Amazon, B&Q, Screwfix and Wickes but wasn’t able to get the Fireangel Pro wireless connected, battery powered stuff I wanted. And that was before any advertising of the need for 2.6m households to replace what they have.
