Mobile Driving after brexit !

I know brexit must come up quite a lot on discussion boards but we are starting to worry about how it is going to affect our current trip of there is a no deal situation ...
We are booked to travel in September and drive from uk over to Davy Crockett ranch (drive only hotel obv) and stay for 5nights. We have a pretty good deal with hotel and park tickets and crossing and also an inventions meal thrown in for £1304 2 adults and one child.
We’ve contacted magic breaks to air our concerns as gov website have started to list implications on international driving permits and insurance green cards and magic breaks didn’t offer us any consolation on cancelling booking or exchanging to a different hotel.

We are wondering whether to cut our loses and book flights and a different hotel... atm Seqoiua lodge is coming up with flights only about £50 more expensive but we obv loose our inventions booking and an extra bedroom.

A very long winded post which I apologise for but I’m wondering if anyone else is in a similar position or if anyone has an opinion about which hotel would be better for our circumstances ! Thanks everyone x

There's plenty of time to sort out the green card and driving permits. Contact your insurance company and ask about the green card. The Post Office can sort out the international driving licence for £5.50.

Other than this, there aren't any changes to driving in France so stick to your plans and enjoy!

We’re going in August, staying at DCR and driving over.
Just go with the flow - we’re certainly not changing anything.

I certainly wouldn't make any changes to your booking based on "what ifs". You still have plenty of time before you trip to make arrangements for driving in France should the need arise.

It’s not really the fact we will have to apply for a driving permit or a green pass but it’s the implications it could have on insurance. I know it’s all what ifs at the moment but I am anything for the easier life and if it would be easier to just fly I wondered if anyone else had considered xxx

To be honest I wouldn't worry about it, we don't really know what's going to happen. I'm driving next month and come back on 28th, and will be driving again in June

Don’t panic. There is lots of time to sort it all.

We’re travelling on 31st March (2 days after Brexit)!

Will let you know how it goes!

We aren’t changing our plans, we go to Holland in May half term and Dlp in August, both trips we will drive. If it takes longer at the port that’s the price we’ll pay. Still rather have our own car than fly or get a train.

I've had an email this morning from my insurance co. Informing me of what I need to do, about 2 weeks before departure. Apart from that, we already have European breakdown cover so we carry on as normal and will be driving over in August. Happy holidays!
