Just feel so selfish but don’t want to do anything about it if that makes sense. X
Sounds like they want to control everything.
They'll have to get used to it, tell them to shut their curtains 😂

I honestly wouldn't be too happy if it was blocking light out and I had to look straight out to it. In fact when I've ben walking around and seen motorhomes in peoples drive on the border line of the neighbours terraced house (or rusty old vans - that's even worse) I've commented to my wife that I would fancy looking out onto that inches from the window. However, your motorhome isn't next to their window and they sound like idiots to make such a stupid comment as 'what the hell is that,' and to even comment on a van and cars being parked on a drive (where cars are supposed to be parked on) it speaks volumes about the sort of people they are.

I'm assuming from their previous comments you had considered their response before you bought the motorhome and it would be fairly obvious they would be complaining about it. Without seeing pictures no one could honestly say they would be fine or unhappy with it. The issue is that it's not illegal so there is nothing they can do other than complain, and it sounds like they are complainers. It's also irrelevant what dibbers think because as above they don't live next door to it so it's easy to say I would be fine with it, because you either ignore the whinger next door and keep it on the drive or pay to have it stored.

Thank you for your honesty.

Nothing wrong with that then, plenty of people have campers and caravans on their drives.
It's your life, you can't live it to keep jealous neighbours happy 😉

I agree that they clearly are whingers, but I'm honestly not also sure I would be happy for it to parked in my neighbours drive as motorhomes are quite big. That said I might not like it, but it's not illegal so I would likely have to lump it.

I would check the deeds as were we used to live it stated in the deeds no caravans allowed for more than 24 hours on the driveway, this was a new build 30 years ago and it was still in place when we moved 5 years ago, but there were a lot of restriction on the deeds some more strange than others.

Personally it would not bother me as a neighbour on the next block as a motorhome outside there house on the street, they are an older couple late 70's and its nice to see them using it in summer they just go away for a week come back and gone again a few days later. Sometimes people just like to moan you can not please everyone if you are happy with caravan its nothing to do with anyone else.

Though I don't think you're in the wrong, might insurance be cheaper if you parked it in specialist caravan parking?

Our houses were built in 1987 and there is a covenant of no caravans , the people across the road have had one for about three years and have taken it out twice , he does clean it a lot though , I saw another more dilapidated one further up the road last week and there is another one at the back of us that hasn’t moved in about 5 years so I does set a precedent for some and not all are in the best of shape.
I wouldn’t want my light or entry blocked but it seems like your neighbours will not be happy whatever you do .

DisneyNikki...have you thought about making a carport with a gate on it, you could cover most of it up then.
Just a thought if it's bothering you to the extent it's upsetting you with the neighbours x
