The only lie I ever tell my DH is ‘yes’ when he asks me mid November is the kids gifts are all bought. By then we could easily stop as the main gift and plenty of solid extras are bought. However, every year I don’t drop there (& never will). Not sure you’d class it as panic buying but I carry on until the last moment!
