l would also add double cream to dishes (especially
pasta dishes) and milkshakes. Does she like nuts? full of good fats. Look at some keto recipes for ideas, lots of good fat dishes and snack ideas.

Possibly a harsh question, but does she actually want to put weight on? Has anyone asked her? And how this would be approached I really don't know, as any mentioning of it to her is basically pointing out that she looks/isn't normal which is horrendously tricky.

A really difficult thing to manage, wouldn't wish it on anyone, slapping a bit of butter in the veg and having an extra pudding probably won't help.

Thank you all for your suggestions, I am so pleased to share the news that you have helped my daughter gain three and a half pounds(1.6kg).

She is still greatly underweight but we, and her doctor at CAHMS are so relieved that she has gained so much this week. We are still awaiting blood results.

As she takes ritalin, we do ensure she eats her meals so this loss has been a shock to us all. We are fortunate that as she has her weight checked regularly at her CAHMS so knows the importance of a safe, consistent weight.
