Your own excursions are so easy to do, just catch a taxi at the port. We booked some excursions prior to going with independent guides at a fraction of the cost, including kayaking in the north east part of St maarten. Unfortunately we only had a week before our cruise was halted last March due to the pandemic. We anchored outside of Barbados for a week, was within touching distance but we couldn’t get off the ship. Fortunately we had had our one day in Barbados at the beginning of the cruise and went snorkelling with turtles. We are going back there next January and have already got some things booked.

Thanks, we're ok exploring independently on the Med cruises as we've cruised there 4 times now but this is new for us.

Grand Turks is my favourite port ever! There's a Margaritaville right there in the port that has a pool you can use for free
