Strange one - teen smoking in the US

Think this is getting a little silly, 100s of families who go to florida have teens that smoke. Police are not going to stop a tourist family with a teen thats smoking. seriously they have better things to do with their time. I smoked from age 15 and went to florida every year. Only difference is now you cannot smoke in the parks. Just do it in private areas and nobody will bat an eyelid. And saying they cant in a private villa because for T&Cs is ludicrous. Nanny state springs to mind

I have been in Disney Hollywood Studios and seen security approach people smoking and vaping in a "private area" and asked them to stop which they did for all of a couple of minutes. They moved on about a couple of yards and started again - security came en masse and promptly escorted them out of the park. So yes they do stop people and act accordingly.


As for smoking inside a villa not being allowed and saying that it is ludicrous because it is in the T&C's is totally disrespectful to the owner - try asking our DIBB villa owners like Gryff, Essex Sue, Sue's villa at Sunset Lakes, Melvin etc. I would hope any Dibb member renting from our Dibb owners would comply with the T&C's.

I hope asmidir finds a solution to help their son and enable allthe family to enjoy their holiday.

I'm a bit confused. jocesk was crystal clear that smoking in the parks is totally banned. No one at all disputes that those breaking the smoking ban in the parks will be subject to sanction.
I also don't think jocesk was suggesting that anyone should smoke in a non smoking villa. I took them to mean that in a villa space where smoking was permitted it was unlikely that the owner could monitor the exact age of all smokers at all times and consequently were unlikely to put specific stipulations regarding smoking age into terms and conditions?

I would expect that, even security in Alton towers do this. Its a totally different issue. they are moving them as its not allowed to smoke in the area at all regardless of age.

Not the answer you would wish for, but he does have time to quit, after years of smoking my sister in her 40’s was diagnosed with COPD. It’s so expensive he could put that money to dollars 🙂
