Tbh, I haven't really looked into what we'll do in Tokyo much beyond Disney. Definitely the Harajuku area though, and DS is obsessed with everything kawaii. He also wants to do a night in a capsule hotel.

What are your favourite Tokyo sights? Happy to hear about any gems you've come across or recommendations of places to visit

Harajuku is 22 mins walk from Shibuya - just saying :-)

Yodisbashi Camera in Akihabara - 7 or 8 story electronics store that I think read was biggest in world. Top floor has eating choices and an entire floor of toys , for kids and really expensive models that need assembly.

We’re (hopefully) staying in Shinjuku just round the corner from Shinjuku Station. Was originally going to stay in Ikebukuro but BA didn’t have any hotels available for this area. Sunshine City in Ikebukuro is a large shopping centre, has a Disney Store, Pokemon Centre inc a new Pokemon Go store and they’re also opening a Gachapon store with around 3000 Machines in it. If your DS is into anime/manga then Akihabara is recommended apparently Ikebukuro is aimed more at girls/women but they both have similar stuff also Nakano Broadway.
Team Lab Borderless is also on my list as well as Odaiba. Going to visit Meiji Jingu Shrine and Senso-Ji Temple as well as the Imperial Palace Gardens, Tokyo Tower and Skytree and depending on the weather a trip to Mt.Takao which has a Tram and chairlift and is only about an hour from Tokyo. Was looking at Enoshima and Kamakura for a trip out to the sea.

It might be tacky but we loved the robot restaurant. Whilst not a restaurant it was a very different show and certainly memorable!

Well that are the flights cancelled - now waiting for April to arrive so can look to see if can get my better half another flight in First class with points, for us to go back in March next year.

The game is nearly afoot again!
