Planning family meals

How much do you/would you allow per person for the meat/protein per meal?

I don't really measure if I'm honest. But a 500g packet I split between 5 so about 100g each.

If we do a spag bol or a chilli, then we use a 250g pack of mince, so 125g pp. For burgers it’s slightly less at 110g per person.
Chicken, we usually have a chicken breast each in a meal.

This is for two adults, male and female. My partner (male) has a bigger portion size than I do though, so although we split it up this way before cooking, I probably get less and he gets more. All of our meals are packed out with veg and stuff though.

This would roughly be the same for us, any extra used goes for lunches.
But I don’t really weigh and measure as such, I just know now how much to use.

Yeah we don’t measure, we just buy a 1k tub of mince and split it up in 250g portions by eye. Obviously for the burgers we do weigh just because we do 5 Guys style ones!
