October 2021- masks

Hi all,

I know I am asking an impossible question really, but does anyone think masks won't be required everywhere on Disney property in October? or is it totally out of the question?

we had to reschedule from last October and realllly want to go this year, but can't cope wearing masks all day every day, and couldn't make my 3 and 6 year olds do the same.

The not knowing is driving me mad! I know it's a case of wait and see... but I just wonder if there is any glimmer of hope

No one knows but I cancelled Oct 21 on the basis thinking masks will still be a thing, couldnt stand not seeing my sons smiling face, not to mention how uncomfortable it would be.

yep I agree, it wouldn't be so bad if they changed the rules to masks only when indoors for rides etc, but not when outdoors too

There has been many posts on this, but as said, nobody knows. Disney have increased their policy on face masks to be more strict.
We have decided against 2021 strongly based on face masks. Imagine wearing one for over 12 hours a day with no break.

I've just moved my September trip to November and I'm expecting to have to wear a mask. It would be nice if they did change it do indoors only, but I'm going to plan for it being as is now & anything less will be a bonus.

I think if wearing masks is a definate no then I personally wouldn't risk the possibility of just waiting to see. My thoughts are that mask wearing will still be here for quite a while yet in most countries but that is just my opinion so who knows, especially looking at Texas currently. You could wait it out and make decisions a bit closer if you have the patience?
We are just 2 adults going and are perfectly prepared for mask wearing both in and out of doors, anything else will just be a bonus for us. I wouldn't be as relaxed if I had children, not only relating to mask wearing but also that children may well NOT be vaccinated!

I really don't understand why people ask random people, on a board, with no inside knowledge of world governments, when mask/restrictions will be lifted.?

If Joe Bloggs from surrey says May 31st, would you take his answer as gospel?

No. So why ask?

I really don't understand why people post on random peoples post, with nothing interesting or encouraging to say other than to belittle?

Have a nice day!

P.S. just saw you wrote this on another forum post: 'I'm 95% confident of going in August and with the recent news of Texas and a few other states relaxing the rules, i'm getting more confident that mask rules will have changed.'

weird, huh?

That's a opinion not a fact. You're asking for information that no one can give.
