Cancelled BA flights

I have noticed this morning that our outbound and return flights on 17 and 31 May 2021 are now showing in red in Manage my booking. I presume this means they have been cancelled.
Will BA automatically refund me, or will they advise me by email first. They were booked direct with BA online.

We were due to go with BA last summer and this April. On both occasions had a text and email advising of cancellation followed by refund to CC within 48 hours of deposit. They now offer voucher if you wish but no issue at all when I declined and asked for refund

Have you clicked on to each flight to check if they are cancelled yet? BA flights also show up in red for seat changes when they change the aircraft too. If they are cancelled don't wait for BA to contact you give them a ring or use online chat to ask for a refund - I have popped the link in below for online chat it is in the bottom right hand corner.

Edited to add - If you have booked a BA Holiday you might find they refund automatically.

Best check as ours turned red for a timing change, although ultimately they were cancelled later.

Thanks for the replies. I've just checked the BA schedule and the flights are no longer showing as available, so they must have been cancelled.

I had an email from BA at 16.21 on Saturday 20 February cancelling our April flights. Took me three minutes to find the refund phone number. 16 minutes on the phone (from my mobile call log), email back from them confirming the refund at 16.45 same day.

Money back on my credit card when I checked my app when I got up on Monday 22 Feb. Not bad considering it was a weekend.

Just checked our flights for the 6th and the 28th May are still showing.

Have previously received emails from BA when times, seats, planes and airport have been changed.

Know the flights probably won't fly so just waiting for them to be cancelled.

It looks like they've cancelled the LGW route. You could move to Heathrow if you still wanted to travel (if we can).

i had a message last monday from BA cancelling our may 1st flight and asking if we want a voucher or refund clicked on refund then had a email the next day saying our voucher had been processed so i talked to someone on chat and they assured me my refund would be with me in 7 to 10 days so i will wait and see.

On some days there where 3 flights a day with 2 at the same time 1 from LHR and the other from LGW. I suspect that just the LGW flight has been cancelled. The flight going at the other time from LGW is probably still scheduled.
