So true Disney Yoda. Ive seen Disney change so much in the last 10 years and some of it is definitely not for the better it's stolen a bit of my joy.

I don't think you can ever stop loving Disney, the relationship just changes.
You spend less time there, to avoid the high prices, take your time through the parks, avoiding those big lines... But it's still magical. You never really grow out of Disney. |

This Crimbo we are doing Disney but I was thinking the same for my next trip, its really expensive and as the kids are older they have grown out of the princess thing, I would be happy with Universal and the SeaWorld parks.
That being said it is a bit of a drug and I don't know if I could ever not go. I'm confused now

We only visited Disney on our first Florida holiday (2010). It was OK but when they brought in all the bits that meant you have to plan your holiday to the minute we decided not to go again. To be fair we only really liked Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom anyway. Universal holds much more appeal as well given our son will be 17 when we go next year.

Depends what you want to get out of the holiday. We didn’t do Disney this year but had a more relaxed Discovery Cove + SeaWorld, Aquatica, Busch Gardens trip. We felt we’d done Disney to death over the last 5 years so skipped it and don’t regret it at all.
We will be going back again so not a problem in the long run, but some can’t not go when visiting Florida. If you want a Disney fix then you’ll likely go, but don’t be put off by fast passes, these are easily changed/sorted and plans can and do change, it’s only as regimented as you make it. We have a rough idea of which parks (and think about rides) on which days but always remain flexible and shift things around as needed. |

We tend to alternate them. Disney on one visit and Universal on the next. Having said that we haven't visited any for the last 2 years.
