Magic express from fort Lauderdale cruise

We are going on a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale the week before going to Disney Coronado springs. We are looking at hiring a car after the cruise and dropping it at Orlando airport. Can we then just go to the magical express to get to the resort.
I understand you have to tell them you are using the service, but they seem to think you will be flying in and want a flight number. should I just say I am coming on an international flight and will bring our own luggage or just tell them we are coming up from fort lauderdale by car and give them an estimated time

Have you thought about taking a one-way flight with Southwest from Fort Lauderdale. that way you are actually arriving on a flight? One way flights can be had for around $65 each.

Just look up a flight on the mco website that arrives at around the time you'll be arriving and just use that to book on to it

Why not just drop the car off at the car hire on Disney World?

Hi RC22 I was aware there was a hire place on Disney. We usually use Alamo, not seen that drop off place on the list of options, but wil, investigate. Would we need to drop off the cases at reception then drop car off. I assume that, they will run you to a central place so enabling you get to hotel
As you can tell it’s our first time staying on site and as an much older person, too much faffing/ humping of cases about is not so good.

The Disney Car Care Centre is definitely Alamo, so you should be able to return it to there easily. I'd go and check in and ask bell services to take your bags to your room. Then drive to the DCCC to drop the car off. They will then arrange for you to be taken anywhere at Disney, so you can ask to go back to your resort, a park, another resort, Disney Springs etc
