Not nervous, I'll really miss her but she is an hour away and she will message me. I am excited for her, what an amazing new chapter 😊

We are lucky that Georgia will only be just over an hour away too so I’m sure she will be home whenever she wants to (or run of clean washing 😂 )
It will be a different chapter of their lives, and our relationship with them. Our eldest two sons have both lived away from home for 12-14 years, since they moved out for uni but we are still very close. We talk to them several times a week, see the one in Swansea around every 6 weeks or so and although the other one lives in Vietnam so we don’t see him very often, we are still very involved in his life. We support them, listen to their troubles if they have any, offer advice and help whenever we can. We also celebrate their successes and birthdays etc and have lots of good times and laughs together. Going to uni doesn’t mean that your children are gone from your life, in some ways they need your support as much as ever but in a different way. I know it will be sad when we leave them, and strange to adjust to them not in the house so much but they will still be very much a part of the family. |

Yep thankful mine is only 45 minutes drive away. Just applied for accomodation, moving in day is 22nd September x

It’s only just over three weeks until DD leaves. I know I’m going to miss her terribly but I’m so excited for her.
Hopefully as she’s only just over an hour away, she’ll pop home occasionally (with laundry I expect!) She’s still on a high from results day and as an extra bonus, she passed her driving test this morning!
