Portofino - checking out

We are leaving Portofino tomorrow - collection at 4 for a late flight so baggage will be stored for us.

Husband asked if we could shower somewhere in the afternoon after a day at the pool/parks and he was told that adults could go to the spa to shower but not our 3 children.

Any ideas fellow Dibbers? I’ll ask again at the lobby in the morning but it’ll be reassuring to know in the meantime. Thanks!

I thought they had facilities for this at the hotel but that might have been the Spa

If you have tickets for Volcano Bay you could always use their facilities - quick bus ride back to Portofino

We've used the spa's at both HRH and RPR with our daughters before an evening flight home and have never found any hotel staff there. I'm sure you're not about to leave your kids in the spa unsupervised so I'd be tempted to have a look in the morning if there are any staff about and if not, just use the showers anyway.

I've never stayed at Portofino so it's possible things are different at this hotel, but it didn't even cross my mind to ask if children were allowed in there.

Thanks Both. I may try that - volcano bay is an option.

We’re having this afternoon at the pool to relax so it’ll be strictly a shower and change to leave for airport. Youngest is 11 and really quiet - we’d all be together and quick. I may chance it and try the spa.
