Port Orleans Riverside Buses

Hi all.

Will be phoning Disney shortly to put in room requests but just wanted some information.

We have two priorities.

First and major one is bus stop. Ideally we wanted a room close to the first bus pick up in the morning. Which building do we want/need for this?

Second, and slightly less important is proximity to the food court.

Is there a building that covers both of these? As I said before, most important is no.1 pick up bus stop.

Thanks in advance.

very good site to help you.
Depends on the room type you have paid for, so use the filters on the left.

Food court and first bus stop are at the main building.

16 and 85 would be good standard locations.

Thanks. We only have standard rooms but putting this on resort request as family member has recently had back surgery.

Hi if you take a look at the bus routes on this page

portorleans/buses.php

and then have a look at the bus pick up locations here

portorleans/riverside-info.php

It should help you decide.

From memory, the first pick up was usually the West Depot

Building 16 alligator bayou. Been in that area 3 times and it’s really close to the food court, next to a quiet pool and the south depot is a very short walk. Buses weren’t full when they got to us and we didn’t go around the resort before heading to a park so I don’t know if they had their own bus. It was usually the last drop off coming back though.

Just back and the first bus stop is the West Depot which is a bit of a walk from the food court but it’s a nice walk along the river. We had a preferred room which was close to the food court and south depot (which is the last stop) but the buses could be standing room only by the time they got there at peak times.

What you want is a preferred room location which will guarantee both your requests are met. Can you call to upgrade? If not building 16 is your next best location in a standard room category. Your chances of building 16 are reduced if there are less than 5 of you as it has the child’s pull down bed. Really if it matters that much upgrade to a preferred room and pay to guarantee what you want.
