Oh wow how lucky to be upgraded! It looked like a great flight and even better you got off the plane quickly too.
You managed to do so much on your arrival night, your DS looks shattered bless him. Fab travel day xx

Thanks, it was a very nice start to the holiday.
Thanks, it will be a long time before that happens again I'm sure but it was a lovely treat and did mean we ended up right at the front of immigration. In hindsight we should have gone for something closer and more simple, I'd have loved to do Johnny Rockets, such a shame it's gone.

I’ve been saving reading your trip report until it was all done as I like to binge read them. As always I enjoyed following along with your food report so it’s nice to fill in the gaps. I already knew you had been upgraded but still a great start to your travel day. You did really well collecting your cases and going through Customs, it took us ages! We chanced our luck with an Uber for the first time and it was actually no bother, we usually get collected too. (By any chance was it Bill who collected you? Wondering if your on the same FB group as me)
I’m impressed you managed Bahama Breeze on the first night, I always feel raring to go but once I’m in the restaurant it sometimes not quite the good idea I thought it was! |

Thank you. You've done well to read it all, I'm terrible for delving into different ones and reading a day here and there out of order
Immigration and customs is such a hit and miss. Getting off first after the upgrade fair helped with the wait. Looking forward to trying Aer Lingus via Dublin to skip that next time. It was Bill who collected us and I've booked him again for February. I think Bahama Breeze was a step too far for Ds but we enjoyed it.

We loved flying through Dublin, it was so good to walk straight off the plane, grab our bags and head to the Hard Rock. We’ve never done a park on travel day but having left MCO at 8pm we were walking into IOA at 9.15 and it was brilliant to just be back.
Bill didn’t have his big car then so his friend picked us up. We met Bill later in the holiday when he took us to MK, he is quite a character! |

That sounds great, looking forward to getting off the plane, grabbing the luggage and going in February. We’ve never done a park on arrival either, February hours are shorter so we won’t make it this time either but we might head to citywalk for food.
We are back to flying BA in the summer though as it was massively cheaper although we are Aer Lingus on the way home on that trip too. Yes Bill is a character. He’s driving us again in February.
