Ba/aa

we have been lucky to have been on the “two storey” upstairs economy on BA to LAX

I notice AA are quite bit cheaper

Do you get the same with AA/as nice. 11 hours is quite a long time so just would like thoughts on who has used AA to LAX

Thank you 😊

I have several times.
They are fine, I have a preference for AA overall as I find them friendlier and far more helpful and proactive when there are delays ... however bear in mind if you fly AA both ways EU261 (for as long as we still have it) won't apply to your return flight if it is AA.

I haven’t used AA to LAX but overall I do prefer AA to BA and have used them to NYC. I don’t think they use the A380 (double decker) though but I do prefer their food and service.

When we used them (AA) from lax to Honolulu no food or drink and no great entertainment

So with this route you get free food/drink and entertainment like BA?

Thank you 😊

Hawaii is is a domestic flight so that is why there was no food/drink/IFE. We’re off to Hawaii in a few weeks and no airline (Alaska/Hawaiian/AA/United/Southwest) had those things. LHR- LAX is an international flight and so will have IFE/food/drink/bigger aircraft etc..

We had AA in May this year to North Carolina. They were great, very clean planes and service was great. I also really appreciate that we didn’t have to pay for seat booking. Going forward if I could use them via BA I would.

Have Hawaiian stopped their inflight meal service between the mainland and the islands? They used that when we flew with them as a USP.

It’s just a sandwich now and no IFE but you can stream to a tablet.

That’s a shame.
