Good luck to you all. We were here last year. If they don’t get what they hoped for don’t panic. DS2 (who always planned to have a Gap year) spoke to the uni he wanted and starts the course he wanted in September.

Thank you and good luck to everyone. DS is still asleep but I want to go and wake him up to go to college but we agreed we would leave until 9 so it’s too early

Dd got an email from her first choice uni at 6.15 this morning congratulating her but then we had to wait until 7.30 to find out her results. It was such a relief to know she had got her place though. Well done all. X

Well my ds is really disappointed 😞, he got a D in his Biology but thought the exams went well and was expecting a B. He’s not applied to Uni but still disappointing. Ah well. I’ve got the joys of GCSEs next week!

Well, we were up at 7am, kept refreshing the Uni page. DD got offered an unconditional on a different (but similar) course, we couldn't understand why though and the Uni weren't too helpful.

Results collected at 9am, and she was bit disappointed as didn't get the grades she wanted (or expected) so that explained the change of course. Fortunately, the course offered will still get her to her end chosen career and its at her first choice Uni so that's good.

Good luck to everyone else today, and as I reminded DD, a grade does not measure the person inside and it is never the end of the world. Roll on next week when do it all over again with GCSEs!
